The recently appointed Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, has talked about his relationships with the previous captain, Harry Maguire
Maguire claimed on Sunday that Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag had removed him as club captain.
He was made United’s captain six months after joining the team from Leicester City.
But as a result of a deterioration in performance, the English defender only started 16 games for Manchester United across all competitions last season, under Erik ten Hag.
When Fernandes was unveiled as the team’s new captain following Manchester United’s exhibition game against Arsenal the previous week, the Portugal international was questioned about his conversation with Maguire regarding the captaincy move.
He allegedly said, “Harry congratulated me on the new captain election and he said he is really happy for me,” according to Fabrizio Romano.
I understand that his current circumstance is not ideal. He may be having trouble, but we had a great time together.
